    We bought the last Bosch upright freezer GSU29423GB from Powerhouse, a few months ago.
    They were in administration, about to close.
    They said the freezer was old-stock and was reduced from £550 to £389 if I took it away with me, which I did.

    Firstly, how old is this model? I’ve seen internet links that suggest 1 year old.

    Secondly, the handbook refers to changing the bulb above the door but there isn’t one, or a holder. Can one be fitted? There must be another mounting top panel, I suppose. Could it be sourced and retro-fitted?

    Not having a light seems minor, but we’re used to one and miss it.

    Looking at the white label at LHS bottom after removing the lowest freezer drawer, we have:

    GSU29423GB/02

    032540211543302796 and a one inch space, followed by 9900021154

    There is no lamp that I can see on this 😕
    As for age, I would need the FD number which is below the model number on sticker you found.

    The handbook refers to the light and displays with a diagram how to change the bulb. I appreciate that this may be for the German market models, or something.

    and a little sticker affixed to the main label has 009229/00

    Propan.

    You’d be amazed at how cold it can be, peering with a torch at the label inside a freezer displaying -36C. (Maybe not, but I was).
