We were recently looking for an upright freezer, to increase capacity together with our Bosch fridge-freezer.
We nipped to Curry’s, Comet etc.

Apart from some tacky-looking stuff (Beko), a lot of identical kit seemed to have various makers badges on.

There were Bosch, Siemens and Hotpoint 3.5 cu ft upright freezers, displayed together that the salesman said were built by one maker.

AEG badge? Yes, and identical to an Electrolux next to it.

We were shocked by how many Koreans were there.
Samsung, LG, Daewoo all had vast amounts of stuff.

I bet the Europeans must be quaking, as those last 3 makes looked to be really well made.

    Are they, though?

Is it still worth buying Miele, Bosch and Siemens?

    Hi
This is a common question that arises in here, always the same answer.
Miele is the mutts nuts, Siemens then Bosch.
As for the Korean range……. anymore nucleur testing and their imports will be history 😀

This is a very wise and clever reply.

In reality, though, the Koreans look to be doing very well.

If I were Hotpoint, Bosch or Siemens, I’d be very worried. Electrolux looks to have just given up. They seem to be buying their competitors, in desperation.

The appliance steelwork, the plastics and the overall design look first class.

I’d love the Trade view. How are they made? The build quality? The reliability?

Come on, help us all, please.
