I have looked at the above machine, it appears the prewash light starts to flash due to the hot inlet valve failing to operated.

I have metered out the valve and the wiring from the module and this checks out OK. The pressure switch also checks out.

I am assuming now by a process of elimination it can only be the control module. Is this a known fault with these machines, have i missed anything?

    Thanks,

    Keith.

Have you checked the cold valve?

Both sides of the cold valve are working, when on a hot wash the machine pre fills for about a minute on the cold valve then sits and waits for what i presume is a hot fill but nothing happens until after several minutes the prewash light flashes.

I have swapped the supply round on the valves to prove all the valves work when they get a feed but I don’t seem to get any supply to hot valve connector.

It’ll be a triac failure on the board. Fix or replace.

Is it easy to identify which triac drives the hot valve and what sort of a job is it to replace on this board?

Will the triac be marked making identification for purchasing an equivilent from a supplier like Maplin?
