DE DIETRICH OVEN DISPLAY BOARD FAULT

    I have just been to a de dietrich double oven with a probable display board fault.
    The left hand side of the board (the clock) lights normally and the whole cooker works fine,the fault however is the right hand side of the board has a moving image on it ,a temperature display and a line which gradually moves along the screen,all of this is visible but only just if you look closely at it,it is very very dim,which is why i suspect the board itself,just wondered if any of you other guys have had any similar faults and what was the final diagnosis and repair?

    Welcome aboard Bruce. Haven’t a clue what the problem is, but give the other lads a chance – stick up the model number 😀

    thx chris,unfortunately I couldn’t find any numbers on the machine itself ,so am using only what was on the user book,which seems to be nothing of any use!!!lol
    i have the numbers F5847 type 3615 and 99531383 04/96 but as i say i dont think they mean anything much.

    anyway i look forward to hearing any ideas from anyone!!

    THE MODEL NUMBER IS FX5847E3 AND AS I SAID THE FAULT IS THE DISPLAY IS SHOWING BUT VERY DIMLY ,YOU REALLLY HAVE TO LOOK AT IT TO SEE IT.

    Have had similair faults on dd-tric which have been cured with a new clock assuming the ribbon cable to the main pcb is ok?
