    Hi, I have a Hotpoint Iced Diamond 8555 Fridge freezer, Fridge on top freezer below, came home to find the freezer section defrosted, however the fridge section seems to be still working, can anyone advise what may have happened to cause this, doe sit have 1 compressor or 2 etc..

    Think thats a 2 compressor job, could be something minor like the thermostat (if you have a fast freeze switch try that as it by passes the stat) or the compressor itself. Pretty old so anything more than the stat will mean it is scrap.

    I’ll take your advice and scrap it, 10 years is old enough.
