After buying a new globe that didn’t turn on either, it appears that the switch may be broken. How hard is this to change? The fan does not start up when you close the door. Everything is still cold though.

BUMP!! So how do you change the switch? Does it pull out from the front or do you go in from the back? what is the part number???

Hi Jamm,
There doesn’t appear to be a UK/Europe equivalent for this machine – certainly can’t find it on my tech discs – so I’m afraid you’re going to have to apply a bit of logic to the problem. Do the obvious – do you get a little mechanical “click” if you operate the switch manually? Is the switch obviously inserted into the panel? If it is, you can probably prise it out and test for function,Stay safe, power off if checking.

The switch wiggles a bit but It doesn’t look like it would be easy to pull out. I don’t want to use much force. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Edit: I’m told you have to break the switch to get it out because it has some locking things that lock it into the hole!!!! And i’ve been quoted $40 ish for the part. Does this sound on the level?
