Hi guys. Perhaps I spoke too soon about my 3 year old Iceland upright FF freezer 😳

I put it on fast freeze yesterday and this morning noticed the floor was wet. I pulled the freezer away from the wall and noticed that the big black rubber tube that comes out of the back at the top was frozen with ice on the outside and the tube itself was hard and( blocked with ice?) inside.

I have read your FF sticky about the heater but don’t know if this is the problem.

Is this something I can rectify myself or do I need an engineer? I am in South Liverpool.

I know I can rely on you guys as you have helped me in the past!

P.S I have looked in the approved repairers section and cannot find Kyoto/ Iceland makes to enter

Use Brandt instead, they are essentially one and the same 😀

Thanks Dave. I am awaiting a call from one of your approved repairers in my area. Can you tell me why I had the problem with the external pipe freezing over on fast freeze?

Well the approved repairer rang but he said that he didn’t think it could be fixed as he thought it was due to the insulation breaking down inside the cabinet. Does that sound right?
