ParticipantSorry, this is a built in unit so no model number. I would guess that the dishwasher is quite old (about 8 years) as it has no LED or LCD display.
The problem:
The bottom of the dishwasher fills with cold water, drains, fills with cold water, drains, fills with cold water, drains …
No water is propelled through the spinning arms (and they remain stationary). There is no sign of hot temeratures, the water that fills and drains remains cold.
Any ideas?
Time for a new one?
Thanks for your advice.

If you wobble the timer knob, does the machine start then? if it does, the timer is faulty, it is common on the older ones, other than that you should call an engineer.

Model references and serial number will on a label down the edges of the inner door. Without this info, all advice is just conjecture.

Thanks for your inputs.
The label is indeed on the edge of the inside door. Unfortunately, the edge that I can not get to! However, with the aid of a compact mirror, I think that the model number is ADP 239 WH, TYP:NA 1/2.
Hope this helps.

Hi
Is there a / before the WH of the model number? Better still can you make out the 12 digit number below the barcode on the door 😀Greg

Hi.
No ‘/’ before the WH but I have found two 12 digit codes on another label next to barcodes. The first reads SERVICE 8542 239 15450 and the second 33 9521 003840.
Thanks for going to the trouble to ask.

Is the above a sequence that happens relatively quick in succession?

Not particularly, no. I would say 3 or 4 times during the cycle.
FYI, it doesn’t do anything else during the cycle except dispense the dishwasher tablet.Cheers,

Hi
If the water level after filling is just below the lower spray arm mount, then I would be lookin at a recirculation problem.
It could be the wash motor, timer or wiring loom that is causing the problem.Unplug appliance before investigating :plug:

Thanks for the advice Greg, that’s pretty much the level that the water comes up to.
Sounds like it is time to go for a newer model! 😥October 21, 2006 at 7:11 pm #192936gegsy
