    Need to get a new washing machine as my old Indesit has finally bitten the dust after 7 glorious years.

    I have around £300 to spend and want a reliable machine that will last a while and if it should need repairing, does not cost the earth.

    Machine is used once a day usually for a family of three. Not bothered about digital display or colour. Just most efficient and quickest. Have no idea what spin speed is best but guessing around the 1400 is about average.

    Can anyone recommend a make or model that might suit ?

    Just dont get another Indesit!

    For your budget I’d look at a Bosch – you can get them for £300 or less.

    A Bosch WAE24162 at £299 approx, would be my choice. Comes with 2yrs parts&labour Gtee.

    Ive heard lots of good reports about Bosch, Whirlpools AWM 5125’s are quite good – and you can get an additional 8 years parts cover for £24.50.

    Bosh are on sale at Comet at the moment for £249
