CTD00 Dryer makes humming noise when turned on, does not rotate or dry clothes. Its 6 months old. Any ideas??

If the drum is free to turn by hand, the start/run capacitor may well have failed. If the drum is not free to turn by hand, the rear shaft or front supports may have collapsed, as they are want to do on these.
Either way, at 6 months old it’s under guarantee, so send for Hotpoint. Or The Indesit Company as we’re supposed to call it these says.

Where is the capacitor located, is it easy to replace? Can I get one from a parts dealer?

The capacitor is situated adjacent to the drive motor in the floor of the machine. It’s retained by a single nut. The one you want is here:
