Electrolux EW1200i integrated washer/drier.

Electrolux EW1200i integrated washer/drier. PNC. 91467401001 Serial.no. 41700184

Machine shredded the belt, which in turn tore the wiring off the heater and wrapped everything around the motor pulley, stalling the motor and tripping the mains RCD. Insulation tested the motor, seems fine. When the motor starts up, it runs very slow and sounds laboured; then as it picks up speed, it sounds normal.
I think the motor is at fault, but I am obviously concerned that the timer/module could have been damaged by the stalled motor – does this happen? The machine is less than 2 years old and integrated so repair is much cheaper than a new machine.
Any thoughts?
