ParticipantHi all,
I’m trying to source an Operating Manual for the above. I vaguely remember that they are made by Hotpoint(?) If so, is there an equivalent that I can get a manual fpr?
Any help from those In the Know appreciated!
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
We’ll need the model number off the rating plate to point you in the right direction as Electra is just a brand name for the Electricity Boards, it could have been made any one of several manucaturers. 😉

The only ‘plate’ is a sticker withe the volts and KW details – or should I be looking inside the casing?
Info on there also : 016/3996/38
and states ‘made in UK for Elec Boards’
any use?
Thanks for the quick response too!

KeymasterNo there should be something else there. 😕
If it’s a Creda it should be in the format of 17***.
In a Servis then AAA****
Along those lines regardless.

Yeah, it’s a Creda. Only thing you can do is drop them a line or call them and see if they can supply one.

This machine, which is 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Hotpoint must be around ten years old by now. The user manual is part number 530ELECTRA. However I think you may have some difficulty obtaining one due to its age.

Oh well – it was only a tenner……
Seems to be very similar to the 17039 and 17049, so I’ve downloaded the manual for them & will have a play.

It is not an over complicated machine, if you do have any questions regarding usage just ask. 8)
17039 was made for Currys, 17049 was made for the now defunct Rumbelows. Both of these machines have different control units from each other and are also different to your machine. Major differences are
the electronic control for out of balance loads ( your machine will not spin if the load is badly balanced ) the control of the heater is different, if the heater fails, your machine will continue to the end of the cycle and you will only notice a problem on heavily soiled clothes.Jim.

I have been to several older Hotpoint machines today, the WM22 is almost identical to your machine.
