How old is a Servis 9635 w/m?

    Servis 9635 washer dryer, electronic controls – how long ago did they cease production I wonder? My customer (for want of a better term :rolls: ) claims it is less than 6 years old?

    20 would be nearer the mark I reckon?….any ideas guys?

    Well not surprising in this case it doesn’t have one. To elaborate further, the machine is ‘graded’ (I reckon?) and the former owner of it claims it is under 6 years old. I think he is a little liar, telling porkies even about a number of fixtures and fittings in the flat. I realise the serial number forms part of the date code on Servis (well as a rule it does I think?) but the number is scratched out! 😯

    I would love to prove him wrong 😈

    How wide is the cabinet Martin if its slim it will date the machine to Uk Servis ,which will make it at least 15 yrs old .
    Also does it have a filter ?

    Just typed that model number on connect, shows a variety of parts for that machine. Tapered roller bearing, GDA type motor, machine must be donkeys old!!!!!!!

    Thanks guys, I thought as much and clearly it is at least 15 years old. The guy is a lying tow-rag about a number of issues regarding this flat and the washing machine just one classic amongst many. 😈

    I HAVE A FEW SPARES FOR THESE IF YOU GET STUCK, PLUS BARE IN MIND THEY ARE 22″ WIDE IF HE WANTS A REPLACEMENT – GOOD LUCK

    This is not a Servis UK (merloni) appliance. The model number referes to a Servis Domestic Appliance Limited machine and as they went into liquidation on the 21/03/1989, the machine must have been manufacturered prior to that date.

    I would therefore suggest the appliance is 20 years plus old.
