w/pool american style dryer

    hi lads not done these before switch on motor just buzzes i am thinking capacitor or motor ❓ . he also said upto this point he could only use it for an hour or so then had to leave it for a while then would work again. any help gents.ta model is 3rler5437kqo ser mm0202575.

    It sounds to me like the motor is giving up the ghost.
    Motor is p/no – 481236138027 and you will usually have to break fan to change so Fan p/no – 481951528255.

    These motors only seem to last 18 months to 2 years if in heavy use so it would be a good idea to take one along.
    To get the fan off without breaking it first fit an adjustable spanner onto the pulley end of the motor to stop it turning then go round the back of the machine select a large spanner and jam it accross the fan blades.
    Then use another spanner and large screwdriver as a tommy bar to turn the fan clockwise.
    It will always come off in one piece thus depriving Whirlpool of another £20 of revenue 😉
