ParticipantHi,
We have a Bosch MAXX WFL2260 washing machine which is about 7 years old and has suddenly started shaking violently and walking across the floor during the spin cycle. It hasn’t been moved recently and it used to be very quiet and smooth.
With the shaking it is also making a lot of noise.
I guess it is the bearings that have worn out but I would like some advice on how to confirm this. I would prefer to fix this myself, if possible, because of the expense.
Can anyone lend any advice or tell me where to find a service manual?
Thanks in advance,

There could be a few causes for this behaviour:
1. Washload not evenly distributed around the walls of the drum, causing major imbalance on spin cycle. This can occur if bedsheets become entangled, or a bathsheet/bathmat/dressing gown or jeans are washed on their own.
2. Concrete tub weights are working themselves loose! Some machines from various manufacturers, have weights that become slack over time. Some can easily be tightened with a spanner, whilst others might require the attentions of a service engineer, due to the bolts shearing.
3. Possibility of the drum support frame (‘spider’) working itself loose. Again, engineer is required.

Hi
If you are to investigate yourself to confirm the cause, then please be safe and un-plug appliance :plug:Greg

Thanks for the help. I hope this is the cause as it is easily remedied 🙂
Strange that it has never done this before and now twice in a row. I tried
washing a smaller load and it was much better.Fingers crossed 😉
