ParticipantI have the above machine. The problem description is that no matter what programme you put it on it will do everything until it gets to the final spin, at which point the dial clicks round and it starts filling with water again.
I found this fantastic website, did some searching and tried cleaning out the filter (found a 5p and a metal hair clip and nothing else). then following instructions i did the hottest wash i could with the machine empty and it worked fine, did the final spin perfectly. Proud that i had fixed it i then put on a wash with clothes, and it failed again.
I did have a guy out to look at it and he said the motor was gone and i was looking at about £100 repair.
Would this flashing 3 lights refer to a motor? does it sound like the motor?
(everytime you try a wash empty it works fine, when you have washing in it doesnt work).
Any help greatly appreciated, and the number for Domex is standing by!!
Cheers
David.P.s i should add i have searched the forums and found pretty much every error code except 3.

Can’t find an A1365 – there is an A1635………? Unclear from your post whether there are 3 flashing lamps, or lamp 3 is flashing.
Unlikely to be a motor fault – it’ll cost you a damn sight more than £100!
Please re-check and post back.

Three flashes signifies an NTC fault. On these ‘Indesit’ machines it could be one of several things causing that. As you have been moving the machine to clear the blockage you may have dislodged some wiring connections. The NTC or the control module could be faulty but with the mains plug removed I would check all the wiring to see if you have disturbed something.

Many thanks i will have a look tonight to see what i can find (other than spiders). Although the fault started before i moved the machine at all.
What does NTC stand for?
and any idea how much an NTC or control module would be?David

The NTC is used to control the water temp, it doesn’t often fail on its own, broken or loose wiring or faults on the £80 + module are more likely 😥

Cheers,
I presume the water temp control is fine as on normal washes is fine and hot washes are very hot (little steam clouds come out of the detergent tray!)
looks like i need a call to a proper” engineer! as i would not like to tackle that job, i have had a look down where the programme knob and other assorted buttons are and it looks a real swine to fiddle about in down there! (didnt stop a spider making a home in the programme control knob though). The machine is 3-4 years old and actually is the landlords, would you think it is better to get it fixed or buy a new machine – he would spend up to £100 on a repair or he would buy a new one for £200 or so.
Personally i would have thought it better to buy a new machine (but then it is easier to spend more money when it is not your own!!)Anyone got any recommendations for good machines for a smaller budget? or any that you dont really want touch with a barge pole.
Many thanks for all your help so far (especially the link to approved engineers, takes the worry out of having someone in)David

25 years ago £200.00 got you a decent machine. Today it will get you another pile of throw away junk like the one you already have. £295 upwards and you will be starting to creep into ‘reasonable’ territory. £375 plus and you should then be getting something worth buying.
Washing machines and cars are basically old technology with a few electronic gizmos added. Still a drum, motor, heater, controls, pump etc. Still an internal combustion engine with a gearbox and a wheel at each corner. how much would it cost you to replace a car you bought 25 years ago. :rolls:
£100 plus is possibly to much to spend on a four year old Indesit dressed up as an Ariston.
It may be wise to see if we have someone in your area to check the machine out properly before you bin it. Check the link in my sig to see if there is anyone.
Jim.
