My Bosch washer Exclusif 1100A has broken. It is flashing the final rinse light and error code 4 and the drum is not turning. It is 12 years old – should I repair or replace?

The motor end housing and carbon brush unit need replacing to cure this fault as a rule. If you can give us the full E.nr of your machine (found inside the door) we can advise further as to the likely cost for someone to sort it for you. (A 12 year old machine for a job like this would cost between £50 minimum and £100 maximum I would think?)
