    Hi,

dishwasher will not fill. If manually put water in it will complete a rinse cycle. I assume it is either the float switch or the inlet control. Before I go ahead and buy a new inlet control does anyone know where the float/overflow cut off is as i can’t ssem to find it.

    thanks

Candy tech info is a bit thin on the ground….. If it has a float switch, it’ll be a polystyrene block in the base with a microswitch on top. Easiest thing to do is to check the resistance of the solenoid coil on the inlet valve. When split from the circuit, you should get a reading of 3-4kOhms.

    Power off, of course.

Thanks Penguin I’ll check. Certainly found it hard to track down Candy info. If I need to replace inlet valve might as well get a secondhand Bosch as at least they seem to have more support available. 😀 😀

Some Candy-sourced Hoover machines had a water inlet shut-off system.

To release it, you had to turn off the inlet hose tap, then remove the inlet hose from the tap, in order to release the pressure in the safety system.

My old Hoover circa 1998, had such a system.

There wasn’t a flood tray underneath: motor and regeneration unit were visible.

This is a GIAS dishwasher, so heaven knows its roots. I’ve never seen one with an Aquastop system, so lets stick to the simple stuff. It’s a C72, not a C7200 and that’s about it really…….
