Hi All,
I have just done a test on the Candy and this is what it is doing….
Goes through the cycles Ok fills up and also drains BUT the drum will not rotate on any program.
Reading the other like posts suggest that it might be the bushes? if so where do these go the motor is under the drum are they the standard bushes you get on the comutator?
Any info on how to replace these would be appreciated. Thanks

This sounds more like a problem with the water level control system to me. Overfilling is defo water level – motor action is also linked to water level system.
Could be programme control, but check above first.
Power off if going inside……….

hi
Many thanks for your response.
regarding the water level it only does that sometimes, very rear. What it is doing now seems normal operation but the drum will not turn or spin, as mentioned earlier the water comes up to normal level but will not spin drum however if i move the control to spin it drains all the water and then just sits there. does this still sound liek the water level? if so how can i check that sensor’s operation.Thankyou once again for your help
regards

If you get a consistant water level, that ain’t the problem. Possibilities……..
Dry joint on electronic board was always a good one with these. Carbon brushes always worth inspecting, they are designed to wear out. Dropping the motor to check is the easiest way.
Power off – stay safe.

Hi,
I have replaced the bushes (£25) and it spins now but is still not rite, it now spins couple of turns one way then a couple turns the other way and thats it…plays no more..
I am going to take out the board tonight and check for dry soldering joints, can anyone suggest any further diagnostics?Cheers
