Not a problem as such, more a request for information.
I’ve seen the HomeKing (model HF230W) advertised on the web, and it has the right dimensions to fit an awkward space.
Has anyone heard of this make? Which manufacturer group does it belong to?
I can’t find any reference to it in your Advice/What’s in a name/manufactureer pages, nor does it show up in a search of this site. Hmmmn.However, the Coop is willing to give a 5 year parts, 2 year parts and labour warranty on it, so they must be reasonably confident…?

Looks awfully Chinese to me………. Trouble is, it’s too cheap. If they’ll give you a two year warranty on it, take it, but we’ll see you again in a couple of years time.
Sorry to be a bit negative, but that old adage “You get what you pay for” has never been so true.

Thanks for the reply – your assessment sounds fair enough, and suspect you’re right about the Chinese manufacture.
I’d wondered (hoped) whether the longer warranty might mean it was a more highly regarded brand in a cheap wrapper, bit like supermarket cornflakes are supposed to be.Hope you’re *not* right about the fact it is too cheap though, as most of the other manufacturers who have a f/freezer which fits the space (W55cm, max H145cm) and have freezer bit at bottom are in a similar price bracket. These are brands like LG, Beko. Probably not high on your list either!
Though would have to add that my current Beko larder fridge, which I bought second-hand and have owned 8 years, has always been fine.

Home King is a brand name used on free standing cooling by Baumatic.
Yes they are Chinese.
