Old customer rang up, asking if I’d install the the above mentioned beastie for her. Turns out that this is the second one since she replaced the old Hotpoint 18 series.
First one lasted three washes before the top weight tore off, taking part of the tub with it. We appear to have two Bosch engineers working Leeds – “Happy” and “Grumpy” seeing as I don’t actually know them. Anyway, Grumpy turns up, accuses her of not removing the transit bolts and finally admits that the machine is BER. Co-op deliver another one (No arguements apparently and very prompt – but they don’t install.) Anyway, Dad’s not about, so I have to do it. Having heard the story, I took the lid off to check the weight. I put three full turns on the bolts before it was clamped down properly. They were just hand tight, no more.
Full model was WAA28160GB/04 should you come across this.
