I have a Creda Concept C361E cooker and unfortunately we have a crack of about 150mm across one corner. All the rings still work ok. Having looked at various web sites for spare parts I do not seem to be able to locate a new ceramic glass top.
Is it repairable, is it a fairly easy project, where can I get a part, and are they very expensive please?
I do have an old Belling format cooker with the same sort of top in the garage (some of the rings don’t work) and it looks as thought it is probabl;y identical. COuld I fit that one do you think?

Yes they are available, come in different colours depending on the exact model number and cost approx £140.
If you can give the FULL model number I can give you the part number and price. If you want someone to fit it for you, simply click on the link below for an approved engineer. 🙂

Most ceramic hob tops are attached by a number of screws around the edge, some have control switches which mount to the top but these are attached by a single nut on each, others mount the switches on a subframe screwed to the base in which case the top will come off once the knobs are pulled off.
Incidentally, it’s usually worth having a look at your household insurance to cover the cost….in which case you will need an engineer to fit it for you 😉
