    Can anyone help? I am changing the drum bearings and the sleeve on the shaft was damaged, I ordered a new one part no. 8996452787907 the only problem is it wont fit the shaft it seems to be slightly thicker then the orginal one has anyone came across the same problem please help?

    thanks for that part no. but this is the shaft
    assy. and I only need the collar for the seal to
    run on. I was thinking do you have to heat the collar up to fit over the shaft ?

    Hi used to work for service force, never replaced a collar allways replaced the shaft. too difficult to get off in house.

    Did the bearing assembly not come with a new collar? It used to and you need a special tool to remove old and fit new. still got it lying around somewhere. Cheaper to replace the drum support complete.
