    Hi,

need some fitting advice really, we have a built in oven which we would like to replace, its a 59/60 cm wide Indesit model (single oven). If we want to replace it how are they fitted ? do they fit in on feet which adjust their height etc ?

I guess what I am trying to work out is can we just replace it with built in double oven which is a bit taller, our current one has a plinth fitted at the bottom etc, and with the plinth taken into account, we could fit a 70 cm tall built in oven, but as I have no concept what is actually behind my kitchen fascia I do not want to buy the wrong thing ?

    Cheers

    Martin,

Only removing the oven from its cavity will enable you to establish the extra space you may need for a larger unit. All built-in ovens fit in standard sized kitchen carcasses 595mm wide. The height depends on its location (i.e. under a worktop or in a wall based unit).

The majority of oven units are held in place by up to 4 woodscrews running down the front frame of the unit. Unscrewing these will enable the unit to be pulled clear.

:zap: POWER OFF FIRST OF COURSE :zap:
