I am in the Royal Navy and live and work in the Alps in Germany. I have a Hoover TVE 42 dryer which has had some work on by the local (only)repair man. After he finished I noticed a wire hanging out of the front of the dryer. Getting him back is not posible or possibly desirable and so I need to know what this wire is and where it goes.
On further inspection it is a single red lead which runs from the multi lead connection block on the program unit (last but botton connection) down to the base of the machine as part of the wiring loom and then is free to go…. who knows. It produces a negative 2.5V DC signal to earth and terminates with a round post connection.

My trade training means I am reasonably competant with Electrical circuits but this has me stuck as I can not identify what this wire is for or where it should go.

    Thank you

I think you’ll find it attaches to the sensor plate pick-up to the drum electrode? 😉
