I fitted a new thermostat kit (green spot) to the dryer approx 6 months ago I also fitted at the same time a new 7uf capacitor as I had heard that they had been failing causing the stats to over heat and cut out. The machine is in pristine condition the customer keeps on top of the filter and condenser unit. so imagine my suprise when last week I am called out and I have to fit a new stat kit and a new capacitor (just in case).
2 loads later and I am called again and yes the stat has gone again.
    Can anyone help?

Remove the condenser and check the circulation
fan is clean, make sure the customer is allowing the dryer to go through cool tumble.
Also change the front drum stat.

Hi i had this problem a while back and it turned out to be the timer, the drum would run in reverse when it was suposed to go forwards. This caused the heater to be on when in reverse and no air flow through the heater.

Checked the circulation fan and it is clear, customer confirms that she puts clothes in sets program and does not interupt it. Also looked into fitting a new timer but this machine has the digital program selector type of timer and a module to detect dryness, ie not the usual timer found on these dryers, module was going to cost me about 50 quid plus vat, so I have had to wave the white flag and refund the customer for work carried out.
hey ho… but thanks for your help fellas.
