    Hi,

Had a problem with my F&P 708F model Washing machine.

Was constantly stopping & beeping. Press Start & went for a while then same again.

Called service technician, said main controller board and inlet valve needed replacing. Approx cost close to $NZ400.00.

So, decided to buy new machine. Technician was very keen to take old machine & to waive any service charge. Said no.

Bought new machine. ($NZ1475.00 not cheap)

Then 2 weeks later saw apparently similar machine, with broken agitator for sale on Trade Me (NZ’s EBay) bought it for $NZ80.00

Turned out to be older than stated and controller board is different.

BUT… replaced cold inlet valve with one from the bought machine and now washer works perfectly, but in diagnostics give me 00001011

Can anyone suggest what this code is.

If I toggle “spin speed” up to get “hold & Slow” AND “Fast”, all of the lights come on, but I guess this is not a correct code at all

    Cheers

    Hi William,
    Did you read this? :
    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ic&t=17246

You need the “slow spin” lamp on.

00001011 is related to the water level control system – it is sending a negative level signal to the electronics. As it is an integral part of the motor control board, it usually means that the board must be replaced. Action – drain the machine fully. Check the integrity of the air hose, ensure that the air chamber is clear.

    Hi,

Yes, i did read the post you refer to.

And, i did drain the machine fully, all over the floor, as I suspected the pump and pulled it out.

I also removed the hose off the pressure switch and blew down the hose to make sure it was clear.

One point, after replacing valve i had a problem with the hot solenoid not turning off. this was a drop of water right on the PCB at the hot solenoid wire solder tab.

After removing moisture the thing worked OK. But, the washer did more water than it should when this happened and was restarted, so pressure switch may have “got confused”??

I have tried holding start and powering on to reset, but code is still there, despite this the machine appearing to function correctly, have done 3 loads of washing all A OK.

The water pump and hose blowing was afer the hot solenoid episode.

    Cheers

    William
