Participanthi i have the have the above machine and have just resealed the condensor unit as it was leaking and cleaned it all out so no blockages, the problem i get is when in use some water collects in the bucket but most collects in the element cover housing, which then leaks out of the base.
i thought i might just seal the housing on but if i do that the water will build up and the fan will trhow it on the element .any ideas anyone?

Sounds like you need to remove and clean the float chamber. A bit of a fiddle but you will get water thrown onto the element as you say if you do not.
Not sure what you mean by ‘seal the condensor unit’ also by ‘bucket’ do you mean the water container?Jim.

Condensor unit is the plastic piece that connects to the metal rear and bucket is the container, and i have cleaned out the float already it is clear of any blockage and water is collecting in the conatiner but only a small amount

Well that is the Condenser housing in fact, the condenser being the aluminium slatted matrix that slots into it.

The water container below that assembly, yes!

That’s fine then, so I wonder what the valve assembly is like on the water container?
If water is being drawn into the hot air fan housing then there still must be a blockage in either the float chamber and/or the water tank valve? Besides if water progresses into the hot air section then clearly the safety cut-off float is not working as it should!
I would take the drum out, the top cool-air fan cover off and check the fan and that the inlet ring and deflector are correctly positioned as well.

If the condensate bottle (Bucket to you) 😉 has a cap, check that the air breather hole is clear. The later bottles do not have a cap.

B****y hell Bob, thats worse than calling a water container a bucket. 😆
NB. Partfinder calls it a water container as well. 😛
