I’ve just been to a Siemens dishwasher that (and I quote my customer here) “Don’t wash no more!”

When I removed the side panel and saw the whole of the base covered in salt that had encroached around the circulating pump and seized it up!

At first I was puzzled as to how come salt had got into the base like that? Then the customer told me that throughout the 7 years he had had the machine he popped in one salt tablet per wash – per day! 😯

I asked if he put the salt in the container? “What container, he said. I just pop a 3 in 1 tablet in the dispenser and a salt tablet in the centre part of the filter!”
    😕

Theyjust never get it, do they!? 😀
I’ve seen this when the re-gen valve sticks, and they say “Thought it used lots of salt”
Just like the muppets that put detergent in the softners on the slimline SPS series.
