Hi, this fridge freezer is 2 years old and we noticed yesterday that the food for our baby which we keep on the top shelf of the freezer was thawed. The lower shelves were still frozen.

The top shelf is where the fan is located and it wasn’t spinning.

I emptied the shelf, putting the stuff into the fridge and then turned the setting know to about 2/3 of the way to maximum (though I think this is for the fridge ??).

Opened the freezer and the fan is spinning, put an ice tray in and this morning it is frozen….. But just got in and checked, the fan has stopped and it looks like the ice is melting slightly. I opened the fridge for a minute and the fan started up again – is this normal ?

The compressor seems to be running, though if anything the fridgefreezer HAS been more quiet in the past week.

Can anyone tell me if this sort of thing is normal, if so is it fixable without costing an arm and a leg – my better half has just returned to work after 6 months maternity and xmas is just around the bend, so a new FF is not something I want to contemplate 😥

    Thanks
    mj

I have put thermomneters in both compartments to check, so will post back later.
