    Hello,
I have been in my house for 3 years and when i bought it it had a new kitchen which included a diplomat dishwasher. unfortunatley there were no instructions given.

Last week it started making a banging noise when its on a heat cycle and eventually blows the trip switch.

I paid £25 for an electrician who came around and just asked me about it and said its cheaper to buy a new one then repair this one.

Is it possible its the heat part and is this easily replaced or should i just buy a new one.

Any help or advice would be great.

    Thanks

    Kelly

You need to quote us the model number, usually on a label on the side of the (open) door. Sounds like you got a engineer who couldnt be bothered. If it is a heating broblem then it will be far cheaper to repair than replace with another intergrated dishwasher.

    Hello,
Its a Diplomat Type 12043, Model ADP 8132.

Any help or advice would be great. Or even a link to the manual.

    Many thanks

This is a SMEG built dishwasher. Your fault is likely to be either the heating element breaking up and shorting, or the mains suppressor breaking down. Either way, I’d get help – it’s a tricky one to diagnose correctly, and the machine is a swine to work on.

Power off if you are going to investigate.
