    Hello There,

    I bought a new Moffat MSS601W (949712438) from Wickes last weekend and had it fitted by an NIC/EIC registered electrician.

    On first test I notice the grill is not completely glowing red when switched on. The grill has two loops of metal – one heats up, the other one doesn’t.

    Now here’s the stupid question – that’s not right is it? I guess they are supposed to heat up together?

    Unlikely – the grill is the centre part only. If you use the selector switch for oven function, you’ll probably find the outer part only will glow.
