    Hi gents!
A new problem has arisen with our tuble dryer. It is a WhiteKnight CL 311 /1W.

Basicall it did a full load last night, and this morning the clothes inside were slightly damp.

Although the drum turns, the dryer does not heat up, regardless of the low-heat switch setting. I have also depressed the reset switch and tested it with a multimeter. All is well.

I have removed the back panel to reveal the heater unit and have tested it again with a multimeter. All appears well and there are no obvious signs of burning.

Timer seems to work and appears to switch the heater on and off when turned between the normal and cool-down phase.

Question is, what next? The only thing I can think of is the thermostats, if so, where do they live?

    Cheers!

    Rob

There are two thermostats – one integral with the heating element, and one in the exhaust ducting. Both should be normally closed.
