I have a neff hood 195 307 545 GB5033.01FD 6902 that uses a dropper resistor to control motor speed. this had burnt out and I have just replaced it. Question is, should it glow red hot when in use I have told her not to use it till I find out but wanted to check before quoting her for a new motor which, although runs fine, can only be the problem. I know these things run hot in old tv’s but this seems a bit excessive!
