    The drive belt on my Ariston A1436 has failed and come off. I have a new belt, but it looks like a tight fit. Any tips or advice on fitting would be appreciated before I get started. Thanks

    Drive belt is elasticated, so is a very tight fit. Winding it on is the only way to do it……. Some people will use a Tyrap to attach the belt to the drum pulley to make things a bit easier. The main thing to watch out for is the edge of the access hole – it’s sharp.

    Power off, of course.

    The cable-tie trick worked a treat, thanks Penguin45. The machine is up and running again.
