Have customer with Diplomat range cooker model ADP5406 about two years old, says fan oven gets to hot by 30 deg regardless of what she sets temp to, she is a keen baker.

During first year of guarantee diplomat guy fitted three thermostats but no improvment he told her that these ovens were only good for heating up pizas, so two weeks ago she calls me.

Fitted an element and she said it was cured, however on the phone to-day saying it has gone back to it’s bad ways. Prior to fitting element I checked fan was OK, and as diplomat chappy had fitted three thermosats I am now lost for words and action, any comments much obliged.

IMO most electric oven stats are 20-30 out either way and is usually compensated for by the customer as they become accustomed to the ovens characteristics. Have you plotted the temp over a period and averaged it out? as that method usually is more accurate.
Some stats can be callibrated if there are 2 groves around the base of the knob shaft which can be turned with long nose pliers.
