    The dryer on this unit has ceased to function- everything else works fine- help please ?

    Now then – safety stat will be gone for sure. I think there’s a modification kit for this one – new heater box top, stat set and all sorts. Regret I don’t have the relevant info to hand, so bear with us and Jim’ll probably pick this up in the morning.

    Power off if you are going to investigate.

    Morning, as far as I am aware the well documented conversion kit is for the Hotpoint W/Dryer that has been corrupted by the fitting of the Indesit dryer assembly. The fault could be stats, elements or wiring. There have been some alterations to the dryer box and concrete weight. Exact serial number is required to ID.

    The only way to find out what is at fault is to check all the components involved with a multimeter,meggar or similar….with the mains plug removed of course.
