This has the “Aquastop” hose fitted, IIRC. Turn the water off under the sink, disconnect the hose coupling fully, wait a few minutes, then reconnect. See what happens…….

If the Aquastop didn’t reset, the safety system may well have cut in – this provides a pressurised air feed to the shut off at the valve in the hose.

Remove left hand side panel to observe the fill matrix. In the bottom right hand corner is the overflow chamber – any water down there operates the system. The problem is usually the softener regeneration unit (the brown sandy bit) turning to a gel and not allowing the water to run in freely. Correct repair is to replace the matrix ) V.V. expensive ………. You may want to consider replacement rather than repair.

No-one has suggested taking the drain plug off the the clear plastic hose adjacent the drain pump (bottom/front panel off for that!). Allow the water to drain off, turn off the stop-cock and release the aquastop, immediately reconnect the aquastop and turn water back on. Put drain plug back into clear plastic hose and stow away.

Load the dishes and turn on! 😉

I’ve got the same problem with a Bosch SPS5432GB/01 …..

Have followed all the advice here re the Aquastop, and have tried to separate the perma-magnets by gently tapping the ’round whitish unit’ but still no water is entering the machine. 🙁

Edit: 14.26 hrs. Have now removed the left side panel as per your instructions Penguin45, but we are none the wiser – can’t see any water trying to get in just the sound of the water draining as you start the machine, and then silence! Think it will need a trip to a qualified engineer and if too expensive to fix it will have to go on to dishwasher heaven!! :rolls:

With mine, the machine was trying to run at start up, in the sense that you could hear it trying to pump out water so the motor was working.

A Bosch engineer I spoke to today suggested there might be water in the base of the machine that was causing the Aquastop to kick in. I therefore disconnected the electrics and Aquastop in order to get some play and pulled the machine forward and tipped it on its back onto some rags to soak up any water that came out. Sure enough some water, although not a lot, came out from underneath the machine. Dried it all off, put everything back together and hey-presto the machine started working working!!

Decided to let the machine work through a full cycle and thought my problems had ended, however the machine stopped and froze at the end of the wash cycle. There is a small amount of water on the floor under the machine. So maybe it does need to go to dishwasher heaven after all? 😥
