Can anybody pleaaaase help? My fisher and paykel washing machine model number GW708 is leaking loads of water during the end of the washing cycle. I have checked the pipes at the back but nothing is leaking from there. The water appears to be coming from underneath the washing machine. Someone has suggested the filter pump may be blocked but I have no idea where it is on this machine. Any ideas greatly received. Also, I have lost my manual so can’t even look in that!! Thank you …

Have a look around the door seal, sometimes on a spin water is forced in to small holes. Same applies to the outer drum it maybe cracked but make sure you unplug appliance before any work carried out.

    Rodney, you plonker……

Two primary leaks on this one:
    1) Drain pump most likely candidate. Pump seal failed, replacement only option. Sealing ring for the pump to tub can also fail, allowing water to dribble out.
    2) Drum bearing seal failure – water runs down the drive shaft and through the motor. Usually accompanied by increasing noise and occasional short circuits.

It’s also possible that the drain hose is cracked or split, but I can’t recall it being posted in this forum.

Long and short of it is that you’re going to have to drag it out and tip it back to a good angle and see what’s going on.

    Stay safe – power off.
