    Hi,

I have a Smeg DWI 45.1 which has been nothing but trouble for the last 6 months. Every few weeks it throws up a different error (that’s never in the manual) and most times I can’t find any reference to it in these forums. Normally a reset (either by pressing the program selector button 4 times or just holding down the program selector button) will resolve the error and it will continue working happily for a few more weeks.

I’ve done all the good regular maintenance things like checking the filters and running a cleaning product through it, but this time I just can’t find or get rid of the error.

From the left, the 2nd and 4th lights are solid and the 5th light is flashing.

If it helps, the cycle before this error it was showing a different error (which I didn’t write down), but the dishes and glasses were covered in a thin film of grease. I reset the dishwasher and put it on again, and now I have this error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks,
    Kobe

2+4 isn’t a recognised code….. The computer is probably corrupted – the soap dispenser is often the culprit.

I suggest you get pro help – these are particularly awkward cusses to diagnose accurately.

Power off, if you choose to investigate.
