Customer complains machine still running after 6 hours making a humming noise, dishes still wet but clean. I started another programme, got power down to heater, water heated up. Reset programme to double check, this time no live coming out of module down to heater, pressure sw/t on heater box open circuit, safety stat closed circuit, element tested ok, seem to have the correct level of water in tub. I think the module is at fault, but before I order one could I have second opinions please, anyone?
    Thanks Paul :rolls:

    Hello Paul,
Welcome to the madhouse…… Underfilling seems to be the standard fault on these machines. Transfer hose in the front left corner is a standard check point for this – don’t forget that the heater has a diaphragm switch on the end; won’t switch without enough water.

We’ve got a few Bosch lads on the site; they may be able to elaborate further.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

    Hi
By passing pr sw on heater is immaterial, as this should be closed during correct water level and re-circulation. Also you need to make sure it is in a heating cycle or shorting out sw will have no effect either.
Feed from module is from plug connector, one side has red wire to 85C stat and pr sw other pin should be a twin white and red, one goes to door switch other to safety switch.

Nobody has mentioned on this thread that the most common cause of no heat in these machines is a bad solder connection on the heater relay on the module. This is very obvious visually.

Remember that the heater is switched in the neutral.

    Hi Bob
Not seen that on this particular module, but worth a look I guess 😕

Re: Bosch dishwasher SGS43C12GB/15 not heating

    Hi!
Haven’t seen dry joints on this module and anything is possible i guess.
This is the plastic base GV600 series machine and does NOT have the transfer hose/pressure system arrangement, instead it has a magnetic float system to control water level, located under a cover under the rectangular mesh filter inside the machine.
(This has been superseeded recently by a flowmeter arrangement)
This tends to crud up and collect iron fillings etc and refuses to float up as required. If it overfills the ‘Mushroom’ in the base activates the drain pump/safety system and shuts it down. If you take the float Magnet out to clean it, its orientation (which way up it goes) it critical as if its in the wrong way it will just overfill!
The new modules are coded slightly differently and for which purpose the safety system must also be changed (Mushroom arrangement)
Its is absolutely critical due to its design that the machine has rinse aid in it or it won’t dry end of story. 3 in 1 tabs are totally useless in it, so check this out too 💡
Also, any dishwasher that uses thermal drying process won’t dry plastic items due to the fact that plastic won’t retain heat, whereas a nice stonewear plate will dry perfect!
If the heater and switch is operating ok and you have checked the above then your left with little choice but a new control module.
Hope this is of some help! 😉
