Rumours appear to be emerging in the Italian press that Antonio Merloni Group, who own the Servis UK brand as well as Asko and Upo and others, may be up for sale.
According to reports there would be a several potential buyers interested in the purchase of Antonio Merloni, which has been in extraordinary administration for some time now.
The commissioners have reported that they have had expressions of interest on the whole group and the three international brands.
It appear that these are therefore also for the household appliance brands, and not only for the units that produce to bottles and tanks.
Evaristo Agnelli, of the national Fiom-Cgil, said “it is necessary to see as these interests will come translate in concrete actions”.
None of the interested parties have been named at this time and these reports are very sketchy at this point.
