    Hello,

    I posted a message last night about noisy pumping on my Blomberg washing machine. I have got an email this morning saying I have a reply but my whole topic / thread seems to have vanished??

    Mods – did I break a rule and it’s been removed?

    No Geoff sorry, we had a server upgrade at midnight so anything just before the change to the new server may have been lost. 😕

    Hi Goeff….no, not your fault….it seems there was a technical issue last night with the site.

    It was i who replied to say that your noisy pump isn’t anything to worry about unduly, it may be wear in the pump bearings which would eventually lead to failure but it may well go months years before that point.

    I also went on to say that pumps are always a source of vibration and rely on being firmly screwed to the cabinet to reduce noise so you could just check that it hasn’t come loose, and that nothing else is touching it.

    Other than that, i would advise you to live with the noise if it’s bearable, and deal with it if and when the pump gives up altogether.

    Thanks for the reply and advice.

    Is the pump replaced as a whole unit and has anyone got any recommendations on the best place to get one? I might live with it for a short time but it was disrupting my all important TV viewing last night as we don’t have a door between the kitchen and living room in our house!!

    Dave sorted me a new pump. I fitted it last night and it seems to be working fine now. Many thanks for your help once again!
