    Hi all i am really hoping someone will be able to help me

    Over the weekend the door of my Zanussi ZWF1421W seems to have been closed over too hard and has damaged the door locking mechanism.

    The pyhsical damage seems to have only been done to the peice of plastic on the inside of the door (the top peice shown in pic below)

    I was going to order this peice.
    Would this peice effect the locking mechanism tho.
    the washing machine has been working fine since and have been able to do a few loads. Only problem is the door no longer locks and can be opened at any time during the cycle, surely this isnt right(a little worrying for me as the 1 yr old thinks the machine is a big toy for him).

    Might i have damaged the interlock unit also?

    Your help/advice would be muchly appreciated

    I have since spoken to Zanussi on this matter and they are offering some assistance with this matter

    This is the 3rd Zanussi post i’ve seen in about as many weeks, allowing the door to be opened when the machine is running!

    Not good.
