This machine blew a PCB due to contaminated carbon brushes. The new PCB has the terminals for the plug at J6-1 and J6-2 taped over. Do I connect these grey leads together?. I blew the first replacement board by removing the tape and plugging in the leads as on the original board!

Duplicate post in General Forum deleted, if you post in two places it only gets messy with people replying to two different threads. 😉

hi the most probable reason that the replacement board has blown is because you havent rectified the fault. Havent had motor brushes blow boards. The most common reason is a short on drain pump. The tape over the terminals is just to ensure its new, I believe the orientation of the plug socket has changed but that is all. A short circuit door lock is also a possibility.
