What could be worse…christmas round the corner and the dishwasher playing up!

We have a Diplomat ADP 8112 and last night the drawer failed to open and recently we have noticed the ‘washed’ dishes being still soaking wet. I realised that the water had not been heated up. I guess that this is due to the element being faulty. Is this a simple replacement I can carry out ( I have fitted a new element on an oven before) or should I call in the experts? If I do call in the experts how much would I expect to pay?

Any help much appriciated with the family coming for a Christmas lunch!!!

    Re: Diplomat ADP8112

Please don’t just buy parts…. the appliance is made by SMEG; not noted for supplying inexpensive components. You will need to perform a restance test through the heater to see if it works.

    Power off, of course.

    Heater is p/no 812890059.
    Dispenser is p/no 806890373

If parts are required, contact spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.

Thanks for the info – I will try to find a local guy to help me out as none were listed on this site around my area.
