LG WD1243FH – beeped once and died

Hi folks,

Our trusty LG WD-1243FH washing machine gave one beep today and then completely died. It won’t even power on.

I have checked the plug socket, fuse in the plug, and done a continuity test on the power cable which all seem fine.

I had moved the machine out and back this morning to clean behind it, so I had a good look around for any loose wires or plugs inside, but nothing obvious could be seen.

Is this likely to be the main control unit or the front panel control board or are there any internal fuses hidden anywhere? Is there any simple way of telling which part to replace?
