ParticipantHi Folks
Such a stupid little job and here I am asking advise..
Above Con Drier not heating.. got supply to and through rear stats but difficult to get to anything else as motor fan difficult to remove.. looks like might be a front stat job but looks like you cant get to that unless you take drum out.. so questions..
How does the rear fan comes off.. looks like one bolt in the middle and pulls off unlike the old ones that were held on by a circlip and screwed on.. but this one doesn’t want to come off that way.. if I exert much more force looks like I might break the plastic fan..
I’m pretty sure there is a neutral missing at the element but again difficult to test because term connector behind plate which can’t get off because of fan and no exposed terminals at heater asy..
Any one got a wiring diagram by any chance for this model?
If not does front stat switch the heater neutral on this model? How easy is it to get to? Do I have to get drum out to get to it?
Ant one else had a similer prob to this and am I missing something? No float sw like H/Point so could it be timer switching the heater nutral?
Thanks folks.. should be a simple job if I could get to the parts to test!!! :rolls:

To get the pulley off, soak the shaft with WD40 for a few minutes and then use a piece of timber as a lever. I use a bit of 10mm marine ply about 8 inches long by 3 inches wide with a V cut out on one end. Put the lever between the cabinet and the fan.
Slacken the 8mm bolt a few turns and tap on the bolt with a drift whilst levering the fan off. If it still won’t budge clump the wedge with a hammer.
Works every time.

If I get a stubborn fan out comes the chisel and I chisel it off. Always carry a spare fan on the van for this reason.

Thanks for the tips on fan removal guys.. like the one about v shaped wood.. quite inguinious..
Anyone any idea’s about missing netral and front stat access before I go back.. pretty sure there is a stat fitted to the front as I have had kick plate off and there are two wires running up to what feels like a stat fitted up there but looks imposible to test without taking drum out or front off.. need to know best and quickest way to get to this if anyone knows..
Thanks
