KeymasterMartin,
If I see that again I’m going to drive to bloody Berkshire (or whatever) and personally beat your old ass to a pulp! π
You only need a double break (
) between each paragragh and not an additional two
‘s as well as them.i.e.
paragraph one
paragragh two
Simple! π

Thanks for that Ken,How strange then that after doing exactly as you explained to me before (and exactly as your example shows above), my news articles still come out wrong?
Therefore for all the thanks I get, my solution to the problem is no more news from me………….Soy terminado seΓ±or!

Ah! Are you doing those in Word or summat Martin? What it does is inserts the extra break at the end of the first para and then one after the double break, exactly as you hit return. Now you have me wondering as I had thought you were doing it to wind me up! π
For HTML work Notepad (or a better text editor) is your friend, most word processors are the spawn of Satan for that type of work sadly.

Ken,
I have always, without exception, ‘copied & pasted’ all my news items into Notepad. I’ve tirelessly searched and searched news media and the Internet over these several years for you and for UK Whitegoods. In that time have posted hundreds of what I believed to be relevant and interesting articles that has enhanced the homepage and has been a tremendous magnet of public attention to this site as a result.
However whilst your initial comment was no doubt intended in a lighthearted way in “personally wishing to beat my arse into a pulp”, I failed to see it that way. Rather more a kick in the teeth is how I read it and as I said earlier, no more news articles from me….matter closed!

Fair enough Martin.I just had to sit and edit every one of them, all with exactly the same error which is a tad frustrating when it’s repetative.
Why search anyway, Google News Alerts works fine for me and I get all the stories generally, I just don’t always have the time to clear them as regualrly as I would perhaps like to. I currently have some 400 or so to trawl through as there’s a backlog because the news module was down, usually I’ll read through 300 or so a week.
Yes the initial comment was intended as light hearted, that’s why there’s a π at the end of the comment. But if you wish to interpret a bit of fun in that way then that’s your call.
