ParticipantHad a few problems with my Diplomat dishwasher where the overflow switch in the base of the machine kept tripping. I soon realised this was down to those useless 3 in 1 detergent blocks. Machine worked fine for a couple of washes but now power is showing but you cannot select a programme. Machine is non functional. I’ve checked the heater overheat stat, water level switch, door switch, overflow switch, inlet solenoid etc but it all comes back to the programmer. Unfortunately I have no wiring diagram and have proceeded to chase the wiring methodically through the machine to no avail. (qualified electrician) Any suggestions gratefully received, machine is just out of warranty. I tried re-setting it by turning power on and pushing the programme button 4 times….is this correct?
Somebody on here mentioned a pcb reset (de-sensor) anybody know how?December 20, 2006 at 1:48 pm #198415NWAR

Sounds like your machine may have flooded internally.
Not a pleasant job and best left to an engineer as to do it properly you have to strip the appliance – lots of sharp edges and :zap: risk – to get the water out.
There’s also the possibility that your motor might be water damaged – if the power starts tripping when you’re using the dishwasher then you’re probably looking at another £80+ for a new motor. If you do decide to have a go then please unplug the appliance first before attempting to drain the base.

That reset procedure is for the Smeg built Diplomats – I’m afraid that your one is a Haier and doesn’t function in the same way as the Smeg.
These Haier machines have also had a modified circuit board fitted to newer versions with a different transformer to cope with load spikes in the UK supply.
If the appliance still doesn’t work after the base has been cleared and you think a new circuit board may be in order the part number is 0120804253 and retails at £47.59 + VAT
Spares can be ordered from the UKW shop here
